Our new product Kuzmin™ FP-017 Brush is a further development of the idea behind the FPD. FP Brush improves ski glide in much the same way as FPD: it adds a thin film of fluoropolymer (FPC). A fluoropolymer is a fluorocarbon-based polymer with multiple strong carbon-fluorine connections. In other words, a fluoropolymer is a big brother of the fluorocarbon powder often used in ski preparation. Here we report the advantages and disadvantages of our new product compared to FPD.
Benefits:

  1. FP-017 Brush is very easy to use, however FPD requires a certain level of skill;
  2. FP-017 Brush puts a thin film fluoropolymer on ski running surface, but does not change the surface topography. This is an advantage in warm and wet conditions;

Cons:

  1. FP-017 Brush puts a thin film fluoropolymer on ski running surface, but does not change the sliding surface topography. This is a small disadvantage during cold and dry conditions. While the FPD flattens (burnishes) of structures (topography) on the ski running surface;
  2. FP-017 Brush cannot tight fill shallow and deep valleys (even scratches) on the ski running surface with FPC (smoothing of the surface) as FPD does;

Do not forget to screw the FP-017 Brush on angle grinder's spindle very tight!
