Kuzmin Ski Technology AB
FP Brush

Our new product Kuzmin™ FP Brush is a further development of the idea behind the FPD. FP Brush improves ski glide in much the same way as FPD: it adds a thin film of fluoropolymer (FPC). A fluoropolymer is a fluorocarbon-based polymer with multiple strong carbon-fluorine connections. In other words, a fluoropolymer is a big brother of the fluorocarbon powder often used in ski preparation. Here we report the advantages and disadvantages of our new product compared to FPD.
Benefits:
- FP Brush is very easy to use, however FPD requires a certain level of skill;
- FP Brush puts a thin film fluoropolymer on ski running surface, but does not change the surface topography. This is an advantage in warm and wet conditions;
Cons:
- FP Brush puts a thin film fluoropolymer on ski running surface, but does not change the sliding surface topography. This is a small disadvantage during cold and dry conditions. From other hand, FPD flattens (burnishes) of structures (topography) on the ski running surface;
- FP Brush cannot tight fill shallow and deep valleys (even scratches) on the ski running surface with FPC (smoothing of the surface) as FPD does;
- Please, pay attention! The revolving brush has to be kept in constant lengthwise motion. Motion can be very slow; it can be back-and-forth motion. But it has to be motion. Never stop.
- Do not push the brush against ski base. The pressure has to be very light.
Do not forget to screw the FP Brush on angle grinder's spindle very tight!
Always use safety goggles!
Fluoropolymeric bristles are soft

But will be hard enough under 12000 RPM
